The Site Assessors focus will be to provide a professional site assessment for the Momentum design team for the preparation of photovoltaic permits.  Professionalism and communication are very key as the site assessor will interface with Momentum Solar’s potential customers.  In addition, this position will help with safety and quality assessments. 


  • Follow a preset job schedule and track hours
  • Effectively communicate with customers and scheduling team face to face and/or on the phone
  • Conduct a physical site assessment using a variety of tools and equipment including photos, measuring devices, hand tools, ladders, personal protective equipment, etc.
  • Fill out, paper and digital site assessment sheets needed
  • Upload information through laptop and/or mobile phone
  • Provide and maintain a current, valid driver's license and a clean driving record to safely operate a company vehicle or personal vehicle for company use as necessary.
  • Additional duties required as needed



  • A minimum of one (1) year experience in a discipline related to construction or building sciences; estimating or site assessment, PV, energy efficiency experience is preferred
  • High School or Trade School degree in a discipline related to construction or building sciences
  • Must be able to lift 70lbs and maneuver a large ladder and other equipment as necessary.
  • Ability to work in extreme environments (example: hot sun, cold weather, heat or cold in homes and attics)
  • Can climb ladders, stairs, and work on rooftops and in attics of multi-level buildings
  • Ability to organize and maintain paper documents, electronic photos, and files
  • Excellent written communication skills are required to prepare hand written site assessments
  • Excellent customer service skills required
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals with or without the use of an electronic device
  • Proficiency with smart phone applications and digital cameras
  • Basic computer skills including the ability to copy files and communicate via email
  • Ability to read plans, specifications, diagrams, equipment submittals, and material data sheets
  • • Understanding of site assessment, construction sequencing, construction methods and materials
  • Basic knowledge of residential electrical systems
  • Able to follow standardized processes while working unassisted
  • Able to pay attention to detail, work fast pace and under pressure
