As Safety Manager at Momentum Solar, you’ll be responsible for establishing and implementing Momentum’s Corporate Safety policies and adherence to all relevant compliance standards for all functional teams nationwide. Your role will coach and guide our operations and sales teams on all relevant safety matters to ensure consistent conformance and a safe work environment. This role requires seasoned and in-depth functional knowledge, meticulous organization and project management expertise, a relentless drive for continuous improvement, and adept ability to guide rapidly growing cross-functional teams towards optimal maintenance of safety standards at scale.

This is a full-time, on-site position based in our Metuchen, NJ office.


·        Build, implement, and promote a culture of Safety at Momentum

·        Provide EH&S regulatory and technical expertise to employees and management

·        Coordinate with training and field teams to develop and conduct training to address regional risks.

·        Act as a point of contact for addressing employee concerns regarding health and safety

·        Assist in the development of corporate safety programs and training presentations

·        Investigate incidents to identify root causes, determine how they might be prevented in the future, and communicate those findings to team members through written safety bulletins

·        Implement initiatives designed to reduce injury trends in certain locales or job functions

·        Inspect residential project sites, warehouses, offices, and vehicles for compliance with Momentum safety policy and OSHA regulations

·        Ensure disciplinary and corrective actions are followed through when violations are found

·        Evaluate and ensure enterprise EHS regulatory compliance


·        5+ years’ experience in general OSHA and Safety.

·        3+ years’ experience in a relevant safety manager role

·        Relevant bachelor’s degree

·        Strong knowledge of safety regulations for construction and general industry (Federal, Cal-OSHA, OSHA, and the standards of other state programs)

·        Subject matter expertise in the areas of fall protection, electrical safety, heat illness prevention, safe driving techniques, power tool use and ergonomics

·        Tech savvy – proficient in all relevant/necessary software and platforms

·        Maintain a high level of professionalism with regard to professional presence, internal communication, and customer interaction

·        Experience in developing and delivering professional training presentations to employees and leaders

·        Exceptional knowledge of data analysis techniques and risk assessment

·        Familiarity with the insurance industry, specifically Workers’ Compensation claims

·        Must possess exemplary driving record with clean MVR

·        Flexible work schedule and willingness to travel as necessary to support business needs

·        Exceptionally organized, meticulous, and detail oriented

·        Proven ability to adapt and thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments

·        Skilled in adapting to requirements of numerous, constantly changing demands

·        Collaborative problem solving and working style to drive change through influence.

·        Able to lead progress against aggressive milestones and deliverables with a high degree of accountability and urgency.
